CCEI CID-M Distribution Box: The Essential Box for Your Pool Equipment Room
The CCEI CID-M distribution box is the ideal solution for connecting your pool equipment room to your home's electrical panel. Compact and pre-wired, it can safely power up to two pieces of equipment thanks to its two outlets protected by 16A C-curve circuit breakers.
What is the CID-M distribution box used for?
When you install an equipment room for your pool, you need to run a power cable from your home's main electrical panel. The CID-M distribution box is placed at the head of your installation: it receives this main power supply and distributes it to your pool equipment (filter pump, lighting, salt chlorinator, etc.) while ensuring the protection of people and equipment.
Which equipment can be connected to the CID-M?
The CID-M has 2 outlets equipped with 16A C-curve circuit breakers. This type of circuit breaker is suitable for typical resistive loads such as pool lighting, filter boxes, or water treatment devices. This box is perfect for simple installations without a heat pump. If your project includes a heat pump, you should opt for the CID-M+ model, which includes a D-curve outlet specifically designed to absorb current peaks when motors start.
Integrated differential protection for your safety
The CID-M integrates a 30 mA residual current device (RCD) that protects users against the risk of electric shock in the event of a current leak. This protection complies with the requirements of NF C 15-100 standard relating to electrical installations in premises containing a swimming pool. All components are pre-wired in the factory, which significantly reduces the risk of error during installation.
Single-phase and three-phase compatible
The CID-M is designed to operate with a 230V single-phase power supply and can also be configured for a three-phase installation. This versatility makes it a suitable choice for the vast majority of private homes, regardless of your home's electrical configuration.
Quick installation and access to connections
The compact CID-M casing opens easily thanks to its 4 front screws. The internal terminal blocks allow for quick connection of your cables. The transparent front window protects the electrical components against water splashes and dust, which are common in equipment rooms. The box is fixed to the wall of the equipment room with screws, at a sufficient height to prevent any water ingress in case of a leak.
Why choose the CCEI CID-M rather than a generic box?
Unlike a custom-built assembly made with separate components, the CID-M is a pre-wired box tested in the factory by CCEI, a French manufacturer specializing in electrical equipment for swimming pools for over 40 years. You are guaranteed a compliant, secure installation sized for a wet and chlorinated environment. The product is guaranteed for 2 years by the manufacturer.

Frequently Asked Questions about the CID-M CCEI Distribution Box
The CID-M has 2 identical 16A C-curve outputs, suitable for standard equipment (pump, lighting, salt chlorinator). The CID-M+ replaces one of these outputs with a D-curve circuit breaker, specially designed for connecting a heat pump. If your installation does not include a heat pump, the CID-M is sufficient.
Yes. The CID-M integrates a 30 mA residual current device that automatically cuts off power in the event of a current leakage, thereby protecting people from the risk of electric shock.
It is not recommended. Heat pumps generate a current peak at start-up that can trip a C-curve circuit breaker. Opt instead for a CID-M+ which has a D-curve output suitable for this type of current draw.
Yes. The box is compatible with single-phase (230V) installations and can be configured to operate with three-phase power, depending on your home's electrical configuration.
Yes, the CID-M is fully pre-wired at the factory. You just need to connect the main power cable and your equipment cables to the terminals provided for this purpose.
The power cable between your main electrical panel and the CID-M box must be sized by an electrician based on the distance and the total power of the connected equipment. A 2.5 mm² cross-section cable is generally sufficient for a standard technical room.
The box features a transparent protective window on the front that protects components from water splashes and dust. For installation in a closed technical room, this protection is suitable.
The CID-M has 2 protected outputs. You can connect one piece of equipment per output (for example: a filtration box and a lighting box). If you need more outputs, opt for the CLT-M+ box which offers 4.
Although the box is pre-wired, the connection to your home's electrical panel must be made in accordance with NF C 15-100 standard. If you are not comfortable with electricity, call a qualified professional.
Yes, the CID-M comes with a 2-year warranty provided by CCEI, a French manufacturer specializing in electrical equipment for swimming pools.
