A buried or semi-buried plant room often means lack of space and difficult access. It goes without saying that controlling the equipment installed there can quickly prove complicated! To remedy this, we offer solutions perfectly adapted to these confined spaces. Enough to enjoy complete, efficient and powerful equipment despite the limited space!
Buried plant room: the CCEI salt chlorinator solution
A smaller but equally powerful chlorinator cell
The average size of electrolysis cells (approximately 250 to 350 mm) does not allow a chlorinator to be installed in a buried plant room. To make the task even more difficult, the installation of the flow detector (mandatory for using a chlorinator) is very often done in addition to the cell installation.
To address these problems, the manufacturer CCEI has designed the Zelia chlorinator cell, smaller than other cells on the market, just as efficient and with an integrated flow detector: no double installation in the pipes, significant space saving and only 185 mm (smaller than an A4 sheet!). Thus, you can install it in your buried plant room, even with a small section of piping available. It should be noted that it also adapts very well to filter blocks.
The advantages of a Zelia chlorinator cell
A small cell, certainly, but with many features! Once the Zelia chlorinator cell is installed in your plant room, it allows you to select from 8 different production programs, some of which adapt chlorine production based on water temperature.
The power box also includes an input to detect the position of the pool cover; thus, when it is closed, the chlorinator reduces production and prevents chlorine concentrations under the cover. Indeed, a very high concentration of chlorine can attack the material of the cover (thus wearing it out faster) but also make your water unpleasant for swimming (irritated skin and eyes).
Where the Zelia cell offers a real advantage for installation in a buried plant room is in its use. These rooms have the particularity of opening from above: with the CCEI Zelia chlorinator, when you open your buried room, you directly visualize the display with the adjustment buttons that are above the cell. Not to mention that it lights up according to the temperature or salinity of the water, allowing you to know the condition of your pool at a glance.
The case of the filtration unit in a buried plant room
In-ground or above-ground pool, your pool room also houses your entire filtration system.
To control the filtration pump, you need an electrical box incorporating a programming clock, but very often, this clock is built into the appliance and forces you to bend down. And when space is limited because our type of plant room is not suitable, it's not easy!
With the Piccolo range of electrical boxes, you get the functionalities of a standard electrical box (pool pump protection, filtration period management, etc.) with remote control via a wired remote.
What is this remote control for?
On this remote control, you will find a built-in clock that allows you to manage the activation times of the filtration pump as effectively as if it were placed directly on the box. As a bonus, if you add a 12V transformer to your box to power spotlights, you also have an ON/OFF button installed on the remote control. Thus, you can:
- Activate or deactivate your lighting (from 50 to 600W)
- Deactivate your pump
- Activate it in manual mode
- Program operating times for the filtration pump
All this without reaching inside your plant room, making it easy to manage your filtration equipment.

And for connecting the equipment?
The electrical boxes for buried plant rooms offer easy access to the inside of the box. Versions with a 50W transformer open by unscrewing the 4 screws on the front. Versions with larger transformers open using the hinges on the side of the box.
Once inside, you have cable glands (with cable grips for waterproofing) located under the box. Once the box is accessible and you have integrated the cables to be powered, you must connect to the circuit breaker terminal block for the pump, and to the connector block from the transformer for the lighting. This makes everything simple to connect! So you can quickly enjoy the pool!
