Why measure your pool's TDS?
A high TDS level can cause cloudy water, algae growth in the pool, and corrosion and scale. High TDS levels can also reduce the effectiveness of water treatment products.
The easy-to-use TDS Pen
Simply remove the pen cap and press the single button to take your measurement. Once the reading is stable (approximately 3 seconds), you can record the measurement.
Some information about water quality
Accurately measures water quality from 0 to 4990 ppm (parts per million): the lower the TDS, the purer the water.
- > 0 to 50: very high water purity
- > 50 to 100: good water purity
- > 100 to 300: average purity
- > 300 to 600: ferruginous water
- > 600 to 1000: bad taste
- > over 1000: non-potable.
