An uncalibrated pH probe can display an erroneous value of ±0.5 to ±1 pH, leading to an over- or under-dosing of pH corrector in your pool. The result: eye and skin irritation, equipment deterioration, cloudy water, or excessive product consumption. Calibration with a pH 7 buffer solution corrects this drift and restores a reliable measurement in less than 2 minutes.

How to Calibrate Your pH Probe with pH 7 Buffer Solution?

1. Rinse the probe with clean water and gently dry it.
2. Pour a few milliliters of pH 7 buffer solution into a clean container.
3. Immerse the probe in the solution for 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Adjust the calibration point of your controller until 7.0 is displayed.
5. Rinse the probe again before putting it back into service.

Tip: Calibrate with each probe replacement and at least every 4 to 6 weeks during active use.
