Designed for high volumes and intensive use, the Sta-Rite 1.5 HP Three-Phase (Model 5P2R-F3) delivers a flow rate of 20 m³/h. It is ideal for pools of 70 to 85 m³ equipped with 400V current. ⚠️ Installation Alert: In three-phase, the motor does not have internal thermal protection. You must connect it to a motor circuit breaker (in your electrical panel) calibrated to the exact amperage of the pump to prevent it from burning out. Also, check the direction of rotation at startup.

The motor of the Sta-Rite three-phase pool pump:

The motor, voluntarily oversized by Sta-Rite to provide increased performance, can withstand overloads of up to 20%. All Pentair's expertise, at the heart of a Sta-Rite pump.

The polycarbonate impeller is obtained by pressure molding, which allows it to deliver a high head. Sta-Rite pays particular attention to the finish of its impeller to ensure dynamic balancing, which guarantees silent operation and excellent efficiency.

Dimensions of the "Sta-rite" three-phase pump:

• Install the pump as close to the pool as possible.

• Use a direct and short suction hose with a constant slope to avoid long priming times.

• The pump must be fixed on a flat and solid base, high enough to avoid submerging the motor.

• Install the filter and pump in a protected area, ensuring adequate ventilation and access for maintenance.

• Do not install the control devices directly above the pump.

• Ensure adequate ground drainage to avoid exposing the pump to water.

• Prepare all pipes to the correct dimensions and reduce the number of elbows as much as possible.

• Provide independent support for the pipe near the pump's suction and discharge to reduce strain on the pump.

• Avoid overtightening pipe joints.

• Only use sealing materials designed for plastic materials for the pipes.

• Avoid petroleum-based products. It is essential that the suction hose has no air leaks. Its diameter must always be at least equal to that of the pump's suction port.

• To prevent water from flowing in the wrong direction and the impeller from loosening, installing a non-return valve after the pump is strongly recommended. 

For plumbing: 

1. For improved pool plumbing, it is recommended to use a larger pipe size.

2. The diameter of the piping on the pump's suction side must be identical to or larger than that of the return line.

3. The piping on the pump's suction side must be as short as possible.

4. For most installations, Pentair recommends installing a valve on both the suction and return lines to allow the pump to be isolated during routine maintenance. However, we also recommend that any valve, elbow, or tee installed on the suction line not be placed at a distance from the front of the pump less than five (5) times the diameter of the suction line. Independently support the pipe near the pump's suction and discharge to reduce stress on the pump. Use plastic pipe sealants.

The suction line should be the same size as the pump's suction inlet.

Example: a ø 50 mm pipe requires a 250 mm straight line before the pump's suction inlet. This will allow the pump to prime faster and operate longer.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT install 90° elbows directly at the pump's inlet or outlet.
