CCEI Replacement pH Probe with Connection Cable
Is the pH probe of your CCEI pool regulator drifting, unresponsive, or displaying inconsistent values? This original CCEI pH probe with a 2m BNC connection cable is the exact replacement part to restore reliable measurement and perfectly controlled water balance.
Guaranteed Compatibility with Your CCEI Equipment
This pH probe is the original part for all CCEI regulator and salt chlorinator ranges equipped with a BNC connector:
- pH/ORP regulators: Phileo, Phileo LT, Phileo PRO, Phileo PRO LT
- Salt + pH chlorinators: SEL/Ph range
- Limpido range
- Any regulation device equipped with a universal BNC connector
⚠️ Not compatible with the Système 7 pH Alliance Piscines.
Installation in Less Than 5 Minutes
The 2-meter BNC cable allows for immediate installation without modifying existing wiring. Simply unscrew the old probe, screw in the new one, and perform a quick calibration with a pH 7 buffer solution to regain precise measurement. The standard Ø 12 mm × 12.5 cm size fits directly into your regulator's probe holder.
When to Replace Your CCEI pH Probe?
The average lifespan of a pH probe is 12 to 18 months, depending on usage conditions. It's time to replace it if:
- The displayed measurement is unstable or drifts quickly after calibration
- Calibration is impossible or requires a correction greater than ±1 pH
- The probe is cracked, fouled, or has persistent limescale deposits
- More than 18 months of use in chlorinated or saltwater

Frequently Asked Questions about the CCEI pH Probe
How do I know if my pH probe is dead?
Several signs indicate a faulty pH probe: the value displayed on your controller is frozen or inconsistent despite real water variations, the probe no longer responds to pH changes, or the reading differs significantly from a test performed with strips or a photometer. To confirm, immerse the probe in a pH7 buffer solution: if the displayed value is far from 7 and recalibration does not correct the deviation, the probe needs to be replaced.
What is the lifespan of a pool pH probe?
The lifespan of a pool pH probe is generally 1 to 3 years depending on usage conditions. It degrades faster in highly chlorinated water, extreme temperatures, or if left dry for long periods. Regular calibration at the beginning of the season and proper storage in winter significantly extend its lifespan. When recalibrations become increasingly frequent, it's a sign that replacement is needed.
How to winterize my pH probe?
Proper winterization is crucial to preserve your pH probe. Remove the probe from its holder and never let it dry in the open air: the glass membrane would be irreparably damaged. Rinse it with clear water, then store it in its protective cap filled with KCl solution (potassium chloride) or, failing that, in slightly salted water. Absolutely avoid storing it in distilled or pure water, which will degrade its membrane.
What is the risk if the pool pH is too low?
A pH that is too low (below 7.0) makes the water acidic and aggressive. The risks are multiple: irritation of swimmers' eyes, skin, and mucous membranes, accelerated corrosion of metal equipment such as pumps and skimmers, degradation of the liner or coating, and discoloration of swimsuits. Paradoxically, a pH that is too low also makes chlorine unstable and overly reactive, leading to excessive disinfectant consumption and water that is difficult to balance.
Which devices is this pH probe compatible with?
This pH probe is an original CCEI part compatible with Phileo, Phileo LT controllers, and devices in the Limpido range. Thanks to its universal BNC connector, it is also compatible with any testing or regulating device equipped with a BNC plug, regardless of the brand. Please note that it is not compatible with the Système 7 pH Alliance Piscines.
How to properly calibrate a pool pH probe?
Calibration should be carried out at least at the beginning of the season and ideally every 3 months. First, rinse the probe with clear water. Then immerse it in a pH7 buffer solution and adjust the setpoint value on your controller until 7.0 is displayed. For more precise 2-point calibration, also use a pH9 or pH4 solution. Always allow the probe to stabilize for a few minutes before reading the value.
How to clean and maintain your pH probe?
Regular maintenance considerably extends the life of the probe. Rinse it with clear water after each handling. If calcium deposits form on the membrane, gently clean with a diluted white vinegar solution, avoiding any abrasive contact. Never rub the glass membrane, which is very fragile. After cleaning, always let the probe soak in pool water for a few minutes before re-reading the value to obtain a stable and reliable measurement.
Where to position the pH probe in the hydraulic circuit?
The pH probe must be installed after the filter on the return line, before any automatic treatment equipment such as the electrolyzer or UV system. This position ensures a measurement on clean water that is representative of the actual pool quality. The probe holder must be positioned so that the probe is constantly immersed even at low flow, to avoid false readings in the air.
What are the technical characteristics of this pH probe?
This pH probe is in standard Ø12 mm format with a length of 12.5 cm, giving it maximum compatibility with the vast majority of probe holders on the market. It comes with a 2-meter shielded cable with BNC connector for immediate installation without special tools. Its design ensures stable and precise measurement for optimal pH control of your pool.
When should you replace your pH probe rather than recalibrate it?
It's time to replace the pH probe when recalibration is no longer sufficient to stabilize the measurement, when the displayed value drifts quickly after calibration, or when the probe takes more than 5 minutes to stabilize in a buffer solution. A probe whose membrane is cracked, discolored, or deeply fouled must also be replaced. If in doubt, comparing it with a calibrated photometer remains the most reliable test to confirm the need for replacement.
